  • While traditional therapy often focuses on one-on-one sessions in a clinical office, Anchor Point focuses on the power of community. We believe that young people grow best when they feel connected to peers who are navigating similar challenges. Our programs are proactive, strength-based, and designed to build skills before a crisis occurs.

  • Trauma (including chronic stress, bullying, or major life changes) can cause the brain to get stuck in a survival state. In a state of fight, flight, or freeze it is nearly impossible to learn new skills or build healthy relationships.

By using a Trauma-Informed Approach, we calm the nervous system first. Once a young person feels safe, they are finally able to access the part of their brain responsible for the Social and Emotional Learning skills they need to succeed in school and life.
